The history of Texas Instruments

The history of Texas Instruments began in 1930, under the name Geophysical Service Inc., a small oil and gas company. In 1950, the small company continued under the name Texas Instruments. At the same time, the company began to specialize in the semiconductor industry. In the years that followed, the company introduced several products, such as the very first electronic calculator. To date, Texas Instruments has nearly 100,000 products and 30,000 employees.
